“I’m inspired by understanding why people are the way they are, how they interact with others, and how it shapes their view of the world. At our core, we all want to feel validated, supported, and cared for.”

About Me
As a therapist, my goal is to help clients better understand their thoughts, behaviors, and communication styles in a safe and supportive environment. I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I strive to create a space where every client feels truly heard and empowered to express their needs, preferences, and goals.
My experience centers on working with young adults, adolescents, and children in private practice. I often integrate Narrative Therapy and Psychodynamic Theory to support individuals and, when needed, collaborate with parents to foster a holistic approach. I specialize in addressing challenges such as anxiety, self-harm, and related concerns, providing compassionate guidance to navigate life’s difficulties.
I am passionate about empowering clients to build resilience and develop tools that support their unique journey toward healing and growth.
Why did you decide to become a counselor ?
Everyone deserves to have a safe space where they can focus on their needs, and goals, and process past experiences from an individual indirectly in their life. In a society where we are expected to be happy and not allowed to experience a full range of emotions, I want to ensure that my clients will feel affirmed in their feelings and able to analyze the root of them, as well as the importance of such meaning in their lives.
What types of clients are you most excited to work with?
I'm most excited to work with adolescents; I understand that is such a challenging time and transitionary period for both the parents and teens themselves. I believe that stage sets the tone for how well they adapt in adulthood and their self-concept beyond.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
It's okay to experience the full range of emotions. It's impossible to be happy the majority of the time; however, it is vital to commit to finding ways to maintain being content and secure with who you are. Guilt and shame may be normal from past circumstances yet are not beneficial to healing and growth. We have to guide ourselves to understand such feelings and accept the parts of ourselves that allow us to go through certain situations.
Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling?
The holistic approach that Ashe's counseling holds to mental health care is vital in our healthcare system because clients need to be viewed in various aspects for integrative and supportive care. We cannot begin to view the root cause of mental health challenges without evaluating an individual's occupational, environmental, financial, physical, and emotional states. The practice embodies such ideals with full support of the client's safety, security, and goals in mind.
