A Bit About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience, trained in several evidence based
therapeutic interventions. I believe in the strength that lives inside of all of us, and see my role as your
supporter and champion. I believe in the value and power of relationships, and know that through
relationships and safety, real healing can be achieved.
My therapeutic approach is to meet you where you are, and work in partnership with you to help you
develop and reach your personal and professional goals.
Why did you decide to become a social worker?
I believe that through safe, stable, and nurturing relationships, people can achieve great things! I've always
believed that I had a role to play in helping others, and as a social worker, I have had the privilege to work
in partnership and support many clients over the years. I consider it a privilege to be able to do
this work and to be a social worker.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with any client that is ready to do the work! I've had the privilege of working with
clients with a myriad of challenges, traumas, and stresses. No matter what a client is struggling with, I can
hold space, provide safety, and unconditional positive regard. If you are client that is ready to do the work,
I'm excited to work with you!
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that they are resilient! They may have experienced some difficult
situations, and might feel hopeless, lost, or damaged. I want clients to know that there is always a path
ahead, and the strength and resilience that they need already lives on the inside of them.
Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling & Coaching LLC
I joined Ashe Counseling & Coaching because I believe in the vision and integrity of our founder, Mandisa
Jones. At the time that I accepted the job offer to come to Ashe, I had received job offers from other
clinical practices. Once I met Mandisa, I knew Ashe is where I wanted to be. The diverse, equitable and
inclusive space that is created at Ashe is welcoming to all. I am glad that I made the decision to practice
at Ashe.
