About Me
As a therapist, my goal is to create a space for clients to build off their strengths, get unstuck from unhelpful patterns, and access new pathways for healing. Clients who work with me experience me as thoughtful, grounding, and calming. They know that I will lead with compassion and consideration, even as I challenge them to expand and grow. When working with clients, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I strongly believe in honoring clients’ histories and past experiences. They are a part of our story and they offer insight and wisdom. I also believe in the power of the present moment and help clients cultivate awareness of themselves and of opportunities that can enhance their lives.
I am originally from the Southside of Chicago and later moved to the suburbs. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Vermont. My education and lived experiences are a massive inspiration to my work as a therapist. I aim to hold a space for clients which considers their cultural experiences and their experiences navigating various identities and intersections
