A Bit About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist at Ashe Counseling and Coaching. I am often described as a passionate, empathic, and mindful person. My clients view me as down-to-earth, trustworthy, and engaged. I enjoy empowering clients through their own personal potential.

I strive to provide a therapeutic relationship that meets your unique needs. My goal is to allow individuals to truly explore themselves without the fear of being judged. I value meeting clients where they are at, as this is your personal journey. I utilize a more holistic or humanistic approach to therapy which will provide support and consider the whole picture in order to deeper understand challenges.  Although I work with clients of all ages, I am especially passionate about working with those who want a change or growth, but do not know where to start. I am skilled with assisting clients in understanding and developing skills to challenge self doubt, lack of fulfillment, unconscious drives, and the impacts of the body to brain pathways.

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago. I received my Undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University in Social Work where I completed an internship at a nonprofit that trained PTSD service dogs and provided a 3-week trauma resiliency program to veterans. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago where I completed an extensive internship at UI Health at the inpatient and outpatient level. My next goal is to become a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher.

I am someone who strongly believes that life balance is essential. When I am not working I love to hop out of my comfort zone and learn new things or travel. I also value slowing down and enjoying the simple things life can offer.

Why did you decide to become a social worker?

Since a young age, I've had a profound curiosity about understanding the intricacies of human behavior

and the motivations that drive us. I have consistently been recognized for my compassion and listening

skills, prompting me to channel these attributes into a fulfilling career. I consider myself lucky to genuinely

love what I do.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Although I work with clients of all ages, I am especially passionate about

working with those who want a change or growth, but do not know where to start

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

The importance of self- compassion. I believe self-compassion is vital for promoting mental and

emotional well-being, fostering resilience, improving relationships, and supporting personal growth. It can

have a profound positive impact on various aspects of life, helping us navigate challenges and thrive

Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling & Coaching LLC
