About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Ashe Counseling and Coaching, known for my genuine, friendly, and open-minded approach. I create a safe, collaborative space for clients, using evidence-based therapies like CBT, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches. My specialties include grief, anxiety, life transitions, aging parents, chronic illness, and adjustment issues.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, I earned a degree in gerontology and creative writing from Ithaca College and a Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. With a healthcare background and international experience as an au pair, I bring a holistic perspective to therapy. Outside work, I enjoy running, pilates, nature, travel, and cooking with loved ones.
Why did you decide to become a social worker ?
I chose to become a social worker because I believe in the power of processing in a nonjudgemental space. Compassion for other human beings is our greatest power and gift.
What types of clients are you most excited to work with?
I love working with young adults and adults. I am most excited to work with clients who feel excited to begin the therapeutic process, and who are ready for change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Growth is a journey, it ebbs and flows, it is not linear. No problem is too big or too small to process!
Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling?
I chose Ashe Counseling & Coaching because of the incredible leadership team and the talented therapists that I get to work alongside of. I respect this practice so much and feel extremely lucky to work here.
