About Me
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. My theraupetic approach is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and my style is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and cultural responsiveness. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey. Whether navigating life transitions, trauma, anxiety, or identity exploration, I work alongside clients to uncover their inner strengths and develop meaningful, lasting change. I believe in the power of connection, and I strive to foster a space where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered to grow. My goal is to walk with you—not ahead of you—as you build the life you deserve.
Originally from the West Side of Chicago. I earned my undergraduate degree from Clark Atlanta University and completed my graduate studies at National Louis University. With a background in diverse learning, I have extensive experience supporting children and adults with special needs as they navigate life’s challenges. Outside of the therapy room, you can find me spending time with my family, traveling, or hunting for hidden gems while thrifting.
Why did you decide to become a social counselor?
I became a counselor because I’ve always had a heart for helping others feel seen, heard, and supported—especially those whose voices are often overlooked. Growing up on the West Side of Chicago and later working in schools and diverse learning environments, I witnessed firsthand the impact that trauma, systemic barriers, and lack of access to mental health care can have on individuals and families. I wanted to be part of the solution—to be someone who not only listens with empathy but also walks alongside others as they work toward healing and growth. Becoming a counselor has allowed me to combine my love for community, my passion for advocacy, and my belief in people’s resilience. I see counseling not just as a profession, but as a calling to hold space for others in a way that is compassionate, affirming, and culturally grounded.
What types of clients are you most excited to work with?
I’m excited to work with all clients, no matter where they are in their journey. Whether someone is navigating transitions, managing stress, unpacking trauma, or simply trying to find more peace and clarity in their life, I’m honored to walk alongside them. I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, responsive care, and I’m here to meet people where they are—with empathy, encouragement, and a real connection.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish clients knew is that healing doesn’t have to look a certain way or happen on a specific timeline. It’s okay to take your time, to not have all the answers, and to show up just as you are. Therapy isn’t about being “fixed”—it’s about being supported, seen, and empowered as you grow through whatever you’re facing. You don’t have to do it alone. I'm here to walk with you at your pace, and your story matters every step of the way.
Why did you choose to practice at Ashe Counseling?
After doing my research, I was truly drawn to Ashe Counseling’s mission of being a place of healing and growth, especially during times of transition. The emphasis on creating a nonjudgmental, supportive space deeply aligns with my own values as a counselor. I believe everyone deserves a safe place to process, explore, and evolve without fear of being misunderstood or minimized.
What also stood out to me was Ashe’s unique integration of music as a tool for healing. As someone who values creative and holistic approaches to wellness, I love that music plays such a meaningful role in helping clients connect with themselves and their emotions. It’s a beautiful and culturally grounded way to support healing, and I’m excited about the opportunity to be a part of that kind of intentional, heart-centered work
